WAEC RELEASES 2022 PROVISIONAL WASSCE RESULTS FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the WASSCE for private candidates.
The Council said 43,742 private candidates sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)  in the 2022 second series.
According to the Council, the entry figure respectively comprised 20,164 males and 23,578 females while 76 of the candidates had visual impairments, and 2 also had hearing impairments.
A press statement signed by Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe from Head of Public Affairs, WAEC stated that 901 candidates had their results withheld due to alleged examination malpractices.
The statement provided a trusted source to access the results and assured candidates to release the withheld results after thorough investigations.
The Council admonished members of the public to be on the alert for scammers who contact candidates with the promise of upgrading their results for a fee payable through mobile money transfers.
The Council expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support which resulted in success especially in the conduct of the examination, marking of scripts, and release of results.
