John Herdman’s side made an excellent start in Group C on Thursday, beating Curaçao 4-0 at Vancouver Whitecaps’ BC Place Stadium.
Honduras, meanwhile, endured mixed results against Curaçao, winning 1-0 away last weekend before losing 2-1 on home soil. To stand a realistic chance of reaching the finals tournament, Los Catrachos must pick up all three points in this home match.

John Herdman has hinted he could rotate against Honduras, but don’t expect too many changes as he continues to work out his strongest XI with the World Cup drawing near.

In years gone by, Honduras away would be seen as a nightmare fixture for Canada, who suffered an 8-1 defeat to their hosts as recently as October 2012.
But times are changing. While the quality in the Honduran ranks has declined, it has skyrocketed for the Canadians, with the likes of Davies, David, and Cyle Larin capable of mixing it with the very best.
This will by no means be an easy match for Canada, but they’ll have enough to take all three points back home.
