The leadership of the Evangelical Society of Ghana has held that there is going to be peace before,
during, and after the forthcoming general elections on December 7th this year.
The ESG believes that Ghana needs peace and tranquility to remain stable and move forward.
The association was of the view that the Lord would not permit the politicians to destroy the beloved
country.
"We know some people are planning to plunge this country into chaos and commotion if they lose the
elections, but we pray to God to intercede on the country's behalf. No matter what they plan, the Lord will
stop them in their track. So we have a firm belief that the Lord's power will prevail on the Election Day,"
they said.
The association indicated that they object to the stance taken by some politicians not to sign the peace
pact called by the National Peace Council.
They found out that it's a call for concern, but the Lord is still in control.
Quoting the Bible extensively, the Rev FB Dadson, who read the statement, called on all Ghanaians to
close their ears to formentors of this mayhem and look up to God to douse this seeming tension hanging
on our necks as a people.
They took a swipe at the self-styled prophets who predict and anticipate potential winners of elections.
The opined that these false prophets are doing so for their bread but wickedly pushing us into doom.
The association called on all churches to educate and sensitise their congregation to refuse and disown
those politicians who preach confusion and use inflammatory language to ginger the voters into a frenzy.
The society affirmed their belief in the Almighty God to save the nation in these turbulent times.
They told the journalists that this one too SHALL PASS!
