For any new manager, one of the first things to look at is wonderkids. These youngsters have the potential to grow into the best players on the game, so it’s always important to stack your squad full of as many as possible.

While we’re just in the beta phase, we can’t get a full glimpse at the players with the highest potential just yet. Check back here for those updates upon full release but, for now, here’s some sure-fire wonderkids for your squad.

Anatolii Trubin
Shakhtar

At just 20 years old, Trubin has plenty of top-flight experience in Ukraine and has long been touted as a future star. He’s one of very few young goalkeepers who can make an immediate impact for your team.

Elia Caprile
Bari

Formerly of Leeds, Caprile is now back in his native Italy and looking to build on an impressive loan spell in the country’s third tier last year.

Faaris Yusufu
Schalke

Schalke know a thing or two about creating young goalkeepers, and the next to come through the production line looks to be 17-year-old Yusufu.

Tino Livramento
Southampton

He’s nursing a serious knee injury at the minute, but Livramento remains one of the most exciting right-backs around. Once he’s fit, he’s destined to become a superstar.

Alejandro Frances
Zaragoza

Comfortable all the way across the back line, Frances is an intriguing right-back whose strengths are currently on the defensive end.

Saël Kumbedi
Lyon

Few teams know about producing French stars quite like Lyon. Kumbedi, 17, was just snapped up from Le Havre and has been earmarked for big things.

Jurrien Timber
Ajax

Just where Timber’s best position is remains a mystery. He’s on the smaller side for a centre-back so you might want to use him on the right or in midfield instead.

Josko Gvardiol
RB Leipzig

Gvardiol is already one of the best centre-backs on the game, and at just 20 years old, he’s capable of leading your team for the next decade.

Giorgio Scalvini
Atalanta

18-year-old Scalvini is on the cusp of a breakthrough into senior football and a handful of big sides are already chasing him. Act soon while you still have the chance.

Nuno Mendes
PSG

Even casual FM fans will have known about Mendes for years. He’s already a star for PSG and comes with a monster of a price tag, but it’s definitely justified.

Aaron Hickey
Brentford

Brentford won the race to sign highly rated Scotsman Hickey in the summer. At 20 years old, he’s good enough to start for most teams already.

Destiny Udogie
Udinese (on loan from Tottenham)

Udogie enjoyed a breakout year with Udinese, where he has returned on loan after a summer move to Tottenham.

Eduardo Camavinga
Real Madrid

For the third year in a row, Camavinga is one of the top midfield prospects on the game, and rightly so. He’s now at Real Madrid and so won’t come cheap, but he’s absolutely worth the expense. Don’t even hesitate if you can find the money.

Romeo Lavia
Southampton

Fans of youth football have known about Lavia for years but the young Belgian is now making an impact on the senior stage. Chelsea were looking at a £50m deal for his during the summer, which tells you everything you need to know.

Dario Essugo
Sporting CP

Essugo was a popular choice on FM22 for players looking for the next big thing in midfield. The teenager made his senior debut last year and his stock is only going to have risen.

Gavi
Barcelona

If this is news to you, where have you been? Gavi is already one of Barcelona’s most important players and will be for the next ten years at least.

Jude Bellingham
Borussia Dortmund

Speaking of obvious options, Bellingham is flirting with a move to the top tier of midfielders already at such a young age. He’s going to cost a pretty penny, however.

Warren Zaire-Emery
PSG

A debutant on FM this year, 16-year-old Zaire-Emery is a truly special talent. He’s already made his senior debut and is going to have sky high potential.

Jamal Musiala
Bayern Munich

18 dribbling. 18. Musiala is going to be a whole lot of fun to play with this year.

Paul Wanner
Bayern Munich

A Musiala regen despite only being three years younger, Wanner is the next big thing to come through at Bayern and is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Cesare Casedei
Chelsea

Chelsea spent a lot of money to sign Casedei from Inter during the summer, highlighting his enormous potential.

Yeremy Pino
Villarreal

Pino has been a starter for Villarreal for the last two years and has actually managed some impressive stats. The 19-year-old is going places.

Harvey Elliott
Liverpool

A natural at both right wing and central midfield, it’s up to you to figure out where Elliott’s future lies. He’s got some outstanding stats, so whatever you go for, you wont regret it.

Kayky
Pacos de Ferreira (on loan from Manchester City)

Kayky shone in Brazil and danced his way through his brief spell in English academy football, and he’s now enjoying his first taste of senior European football out in Portugal.

Endrick
Palmeiras

Scouts across the globe have long hailed Endrick as the next big thing, and now he’s finally on FM. The 15-year-old is going to be a popular signing.

Youssoufa Moukoko
Borussia Dortmund

17-year-old Moukoko is in the final year of his contract with Borussia Dortmund and can be picked up for a nice fee if you move quickly.

Rodrigo Ribeiro
Sporting CP

Ribeiro is also just 17 and is definitely one you want to add to your youth setup. The young striker has some encouraging stats and should develop pretty quickly.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Napoli

Known as ‘Kvaradona’ in Naples – and among those who can’t remember how to spell his name – the 21-year-old has long been a star on FM but has seen his stats take a massive jump following his move to Serie A.

Andreas Schjelderup
Nordsjælland

Speaking of names you definitely can’t spell, Schjelderup looks like a potential future superstar coming out of Scandinavia.

Ansu Fati
Barcelona

Finally back from his injury hell, Fati is looking to rediscover the momentum which had him hyped as perhaps the greatest youngster on the planet just a few years ago.
