Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder and leader of International God’s Way Church (IGWC), the controversial man of God who claims to talk directly to Jesus Christ in the ‘spiritual’, says that he has discovered a cure for Covid 19, which he calls ‘Cororo’ or ‘corolla’.
In a video making rounds on social media, Bishop Obinim, popularly known as ‘Angel Obinim’, claims in the following words, “Corolla virus, I have received the oil, I have received the cure, that can cure the sickness (disease), corolla…” He later confirms in the same video that he has a cure for Covid-19, which has killed over a thousand Ghanaians and killed hundreds of thousands of human beings worldwide.
We would not have bothered to waste space on this charlatan and fraudster, but for the fact that in Ghana, we do live with people who are unwary and susceptible to deception, which is the entire basis of operations of Bishop Obinim and those like him. They prey on the weak of mind, the susceptible and easily deceived, and manage to swindle them out of their money
It seems that in as far as bringing the likes of Obinim to account, our Ghana Police Service and our judiciary have been suborned, and they stand incapable of bringing him and others like him to account for the real danger they pose to our society.
We are particularly concerned, because Covid is a killer that is easily transferable, and if charlatans like Obinim become involved, they can only exacerbate a very bad situation.
We hope that those who have the power, would bring him to account.
