Teams will soon find out if they are safe, relegated, playing in Europe next season or the champions of the land. Saturday’s Premier League fixtures don’t get underway until 15:00 BST thanks to the coronation of King Charles III, but there are some intriguing matches to get involved with.

In the absence of a clear relegation six-pointer, the order of the day will be seeing if any of the bigger teams drop points against lesser opposition.

Here is your guide to Saturday’s action in the Premier League.

At this stage, it is almost impossible to say where the points are going to come from for Chelsea. Facing Bournemouth should be the sort of game where Chelsea fans can think, ‘this is a great chance to get a win on the board’, but many will be fearful as they head to the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth have done extremely well to drag themselves away from the relegation zone and will go three points ahead of Chelsea if they win on Saturday, albeit having played one game extra.

The phrase ‘peak Barclays’ has been banded about a lot in recent weeks with teams like Chelsea and Everton finding new ways to hinder themselves. It really may be peak Barclays, though, if Sam Allardyce could beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad in his first game as Leeds coach.

He has got a huge job on his hands with United devoid of confidence and sitting just above the relegation zone with zero points to spare over Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal fans will be watching closely, praying there is a slip-up from City.

One of the many derbies that have been key to the Premier League’s entertainment this season, Wolves host Aston Villa with the aim of bursting the bubble of positivity Unai Emery has produced.

Villa are still in with a great chance of reaching the Europa Conference League or even the Europa League this season, but they will have to beat a Wolves side that has managed to steer away from the bottom three.

Their safety is not assured, though, so both teams have plenty to play for.

Tottenham have lost three and drawn one of their last four Premier League games and hope of a Champions League finish has firmly ended. The real job now is to ensure they do not slip much further and at least get into the Europa League.

Crystal Palace have been in good form since Roy Hodgson and they are certainly not going to roll over for Ryan Mason’s side. It could be another tough game for Tottenham but they need to take something from the second half against Liverpool where they showed improvement.

Liverpool are in a fine run of form now and having won five in a row, they are seriously looking at reeling in one of Newcastle and Manchester United for a place in the top four.

It would take a couple more defeats for one of those sides for that to happen, but Jurgen Klopp clearly has something to build on next season.

Brentford are now outsiders to grab any sort of European football but they are still mathematically in the fight, so they will be searching for a result at Anfield on Saturday evening.
