A female police officer who is being trained on how to abseil from a height somewhere in Ghana shouted for God in tears, a video making the rounds on social media has revealed.
The unnamed police officer was being trained on how to abseil (a controlled jump from a height) by men in military fatigues.
The lady, who clearly looked nervous and overweight, shouted, “Agyeeee awurade mawuo!” as she fell off the high point unceremoniously. She would surely have fallen to her death, but for the abseiling rope caught between her legs.
Eventually, she was encouraged to go down the wire.
Abseiling is a sport for mountaineers. Many security people such as the military, police and fire service in many jurisdictions also train their officers on how to abseil, for the purpose of jumping off high points and for the purpose of rescue.
