The ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has outdoored and inaugurated its campaign and manifesto committees with the call on party members to collectively and strategically work together to win the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said the party have the ideas and the capable men to transform the country.
He said the party is wasting no time and fervently putting in place the needed structures and mechanisms to continue the good works of the party adding that he is in a hurry to transform the country towards economic growth and development.
According to him, NPP will surely win the next general elections and however explained the party will not be complacent in its party activities and was quick to add that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) keep copying the brilliant initiatives of the party in their campaign activities particularly the free wifi for schools which was already introduced by the NPP government.
“The NDC have run out of ideas and have out lived its usefulness, therefore Ghanaians must reject the party to enable NPP to continue its good works, he said”
The campaign committee chaired by Mr. Dan Kwaku Botchwey urged party members to support Dr. Bawumia to win the general elections just like they did for John Agyekum Kufuor, Nana Addo to enable him stay in office as President at the seat of government for the next 8 years.
He said the party will roll-out the needed resources for the 40,000 polling stations and called on all to exhibit discipline in all the campaign strategies and assured that with the available resources they will win major seats across the constituencies.
He therefore commended the rank and file of members who have work tirelessly and contributed immensely to the party.
For his part, the Chairman of the manifesto committee, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, said the road to victory is clearly spelt out in the manifesto, saying NPP government will continue to address the unemployed issues of the country and will work hard to address the pressing needs of the citizens.
He said the flagbearer is an economist and have all the strategies to put his vision of the country into reality and again called on all to support his campaign for victory towards the 2024 general elections
Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah challenge party members to focus on the vision of the vice president which he describes as crystal clear to victory, adding that with a collective effort the party will surely win the 2024 general elections.
In a brief remark, the National Chairman of the party, Mr. Stephen Ntim, said with the right purpose and focus, the party will continue with its good works and will retain power.
“All is not set for both committees to work together in harmony to propel the party towards victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections “he said.
