NHIA WESTERN NORTH REGIONAL MANAGEMENT REWARDS HARD-WORKING STAFF

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Western North Regional management team has rewarded ten (10) deserving staff and two NHIS district offices at the maiden awards ceremony held recently.
As the brainchild of the Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Kofi Baffour Asare, the Awards Scheme sought to appreciate the hard work of some identified staff and to motivate others to put up their tireless efforts in increasing the NHIS active membership in the region.
The proud awardees comprised Kwame Nkrumah junior from Akontombra district as the best PRO, with Charles Donkor of the Bibiani District as the best district Accountant In the region.
The rest were Helena Amoako Data Entry Officer from Aowin Suaman, Ruth Ampim Data Entry Clerk from Sefwi Wiawso. Elisha Nyamson Client Attendant from Bia, Joseph Asare MIS Officer from Bodi, Augustine Baffoe client Attendant from Aowin Suaman, Georgina Kwarteng Data Entry Operator from Bia, Haruna Ibrahim driver from Juaboso and Gilbert Oppong Assistant PRO from Sefwi Wiawso.
The Akontombra and Bodi district offices received citations for being the best in Revenue and Membership mobilization respectively.
The Western North Regional Director, Mr. Gordon Amoh-Boahen at the event presented citations to the awardees, in appreciation of their unprecedented performance in the line of duty.
The originator, Mr. Kofi Baffour Asare explained that it was a calculated attempt to encourage others to put their best going forward.
“In getting the best out of staff in the new region, the office decided to devise ways of motivating staff through competition whilst bringing out the best from them for the overall benefit of the institution.”
According to him, the winners were selected through their monitoring exercises at the district offices ,recommendations from supervisors  and colleagues.
Mr. Kofi Baffour Asare insisted that the maiden winners deserved to be celebrated for the period under review.
