 NHIA MOURNS THE LATE NORTHERN REGIONAL DIRECTOR LATIF

A Senior management team from the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Head office on joined hundreds of people in Tamale for the final funeral rites of the late Northern Regional Director, Mr. Abdul Latif Issahaque.
On behalf of the Executive Management and the NHIA Governing Board, the delegation was led by the NHIA’s Director in charge of Private Health Insurance Schemes (PHIS) Directorate, Alhaji Hudu Issah and the Acting Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Raymond Avinu.
The rest were Deputy Director, Administration, Mr. Afriyie Sakyi, Deputy Director, Audit, Mr. Amin Yakubu, A Senior Manager with the PHIS Directorate, Mr. Rockson I. Atakole and Ag. Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs Directorate, Mr. Abdul Karim Naatogmah.
The NHIA Operations Director responsible for the Northern Belt, Mr. Titus Sorey,  Claims Processing Centre (CPC) Tamale Director, Mr. Isaac Akonde, NHIS Regional and District management teams from the five regions of the North and some frontline staff were there.
Heads of the various public and private health institutions, representatives of the Ghana Education Service,  Labour Unions, Civil Society Organizations, the Clergy, political groups, family members, friends and sympathizers participated in the final funeral rites of.the late, Mr. Abdul Latif Issahaque.
In a tribute on behalf of the Authority, Alhaji Hudu Issah said the late NHIA  Northern Regional Director, Mr. Abdul Latif Issahaque was God fearing, humble and hard-working.
He rallied the masses to pray for God’s infinite mercy for the late brother Abdul Latif Issahaque and grant him space in the higher heavens (Jannah Firdaus).
A cash donation was made on behalf of the NHIA Board, Management and the outgoing NHIA Chief Executive and now the Health Minister designate, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye, for the late brother Abdul Latif Issahaque’s family upkeep.
It will be recalled that on February 17, 2024, Dr. Okoe-Boye’s led Executive Management visited Mr. Abdul Latif Issahaque at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
