MR. JOHN M ALLOTEY VISITS ASANTEHENE AT OTUMFUO’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission Mr John M Allotey paid homage to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu(II) Asantehene at Otumfuo’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations.
The Chief Executive, Mr John Allotey sent a delegation in persons of Mr Kofi Affum- Baffoe (Director of RMSC), Mr Clement Omari (Ashanti Regional Manager of FSD), Park Manager of WD and TIDD led by Dr Andy Osei Okrah, Director of FCTC, on his behalf to pay homage and presented gifts to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu (II).
As part of the Otumfuo’s Silver Jubilee Anniversary and prior birthday celebration, His Royal Majesty sat in his grace on the 2nd May, 2024 at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, welcome people who came and paid homage to his exceptional leadership and reign as the Asantehene for the past 25 years.
Dr. Andy Okrah who presented the Seasonal Greetings and well wishes  on behalf of Mr Allotey , first extended the commission’s appreciation and gratitude to the His Royal Majesty’s unwavering support and leadership towards sustainable management of our forest estates especially in Ashanti Region and His Royal Majesty’s effort of planting trees in hundreds of hectares under the Green Ghana initiative; his advocacy to illegal mining, climate change, to mention a few of his contributions to the Commission and the nation at large.
Dr. Okrah went ahead to present to His Royal Majesty Forestry Commission’s contribution to the Otumfuo’s Anniversary Book, gifts for His Royal Majesty’s 25th Anniversary, Heal Komfo Anokye project and upcoming birthday, together with a traditional liquors and a ram.
Otumfuo who was appreciative of the gesture and applauded the Commission.
