MCE for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai visits accident victims

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai  Mr Alfred Amoah has paid a visit to the victims of the accident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, January, 10, 2022 at  Anhwiaso-Tanoso off Bibiani – Sefwi Bekwai road between a Metro Mass bus and a sprinter in the Municipality.

According him, arrangements are being made to transfer the victims who are in critical condition to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for further treatment.

Thirteen people died from that fatal incident on the Bibiani –Bekwai Road.

The victims were rushed to the Sefwi Anhwiaso Community Hospital and Bibiani Government Hospital for treatment.

The MCE who visited the victims on behalf of the Western North Regional Minister, Mr. Richard Obeng, said his outfit is committed to provide the necessary support to the injured victims.

He stated that, a good side of this is that there are two (2) pregnant women as part of the victims of the fatal accident who are now responding to treatment.

He attributed the unfortunate incident to the reckless driving by the Sprinter driver who made unsafe overtaking at the sharp curve in between Anhwiaso-Tanoso scretch.

The MCE on behalf of the Western North Regional Minister urged drivers especially, tricycle “Pragya” riders to be law-abiding, comply with road safety regulations to curb such avoidable accident to save innocent lives.
