Chelsea are the current holders having beaten Manchester City 3-2 in last year’s final and the Blues are again in the mix this year, reaching the final eight stage of the competition.

However, the likes of Manchester United and Man City remain in the tournament as well as other Women’s Super League sides.

The draw for the 2022/23 Women’s FA Cup took place on Monday 27 February 2023 on The One Show.

Current holders Chelsea will visit Reading, while both Manchester clubs have also been given away ties. City will visit Aston Villa while Championship side Lewes host United.

Birmingham’s clash with Brighton rounds off the quarter final draw.

The Women’s FA Cup quarter final ties will take place on the weekend of 18 and 19 March 2023.

What happened in the last round?

The biggest fixture from the fifth round saw Chelsea host Arsenal on Sunday. Strikes from Sophie Ingle and Samantha Kerr helped the current holders knock out the 14-time winners.

Manchester United had little issue dispatching minnows Durham 5-0 as five different players got on the scoresheet, including Hannah Blundell, Alessia Russo and Nikita Parris.

Manchester City secured a crushing 8-1 victory at Bristol City while Tottenham were knocked out on penalties by Reading, the same fate suffered by West Ham against Aston Villa. There were wins elsewhere for Brighton, Birmingham and Lewes.

The 2022/23 Women’s FA Cup final will take place on 14 May 2023 at Wembley. WSL teams joined the tournament in the fourth round proper back in late January.
