Fulham have finalised the signing of French left-back Layvin Kurzawa from Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal.
Manager Marco Silva has pleaded for further reinforcements to strengthen his squad, with left-back an area of concern as Antonee Robinson was the only natural option for the role.
Silva’s prayers have been answered in the form of 29-year-old Kurzawa, who has now completed a loan from the Ligue 1 leaders.
“I feel very, very happy to be here. It’s a family here, everyone is very cool,” Kurzawa told Fulham’s club channels.
“I’ve watched every Fulham game this season, and I can’t wait to play with this team.”
Kurzawa, a four-time Ligue 1 champion, made his name at Monaco before moving to PSG in 2015, but a combination of injuries and competition for minutes limited the left-back to just 86 league starts across seven years.
Indeed, he played just nine minutes of competitive action in 2021/22, with his last appearance of any sort coming as a late substitute in the Trophee des Champions defeat to Lille in August 2021.
A move to Fulham presents Kurzawa with a chance to restart his career under Silva, whose side have enjoyed an impressive start to the Premier League campaign with two wins and two draws from their first five games.
