“Well, we should support the Black Stars. We should cheer them on, we should back them. I’m confident, I’m optimistic, I’m going to cheer them on, I’m going to back them to make to hope and all of us pray that the Black Stars are able to win and win convincingly” Mr. Jinapor stated.

Mr. Jinapor was speaking this morning to GTV’s Thelma Tackie on the third segment of the GTV Breakfast Show. Mr. Jinapor was in the studio to talk on measures to end illegal mining and the destruction of water bodies and other matters related to his ministry.

He expressed the hope that Morroco, which leads Group C, would win convincingly against Gabon to enable Ghana to qualify to the next stage.”

He said that Ghanaians were understandably frustrated with the inability of the nation to lift the African Cup in forty years, but called on Ghanaians to be patient with the Black Stars, which was a relatively youthful team, to grow into what Ghanaians want them to be in future.
