The Blue Tigers come into this game with back-to-back wins against Cambodia and Afghanistan and will look to maintain their winning momentum in order to strengthen their qualification dream.
India will qualify for the AFC Asian Cup, 2023 as group toppers if they beat Hong Kong. However, there are certain scenarios in which the team second in standings too can qualify for the tournament.
If India win – They will gain qualification for the AFC Asian Cup next year.
If India draw – Hong Kong will finish the qualification stage as the table toppers and qualify for the AFC Asian Cup.
Even if India draw the game, their chances of qualifying as one of the best second-placed teams are also high as five best second-placed teams will also qualify for the AFC Asian Cup.
If India lose – They will finish on six points and still have a chance of qualifying among the five best second-placed teams, but that will be down to pure luck.
