Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined Inter on a free transfer having left Roma at the end of his contract.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United man has penned a two-year contract at San Siro, becoming the Nerazzurri’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Andre Onana, Kristjan Asllani and Romelu Lukaku.

Mkhitaryan enjoyed a successful spell in the Italian capital after leaving the Premier League, culminating in winning the inaugural Europa Conference League at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Roma had tried to negotiate a new deal with one of their star performers in recent years but failed to agree terms, and he has now joined their Serie A rivals Inter after his contract expired at the end of June.

The Armenian made 14 goal contributions last term, although his most productive season came in 2020/21 where he scored 15 times and laid on 13 more.
