The Wenchi Kroye Kuo based in Barcelona Spain on Thursday donated 30 dustbins to Wenchi Traditional Council worth about GH¢ 20,000.00.
The donation aimed at enhancing the clean Wenchi campaign and promoting environmental cleanliness constituted by the Omanhene of Wenchi Traditional Area Osagyefo Ampem Anyye Amoampong Tabrako III.
Kwabena Daniel, the spokesperson to the group said they are Wenchi citizens numbering about fifty based in Barcelona Spain decided to form a group to support each other and to also support Wenchi when the community needs something.
When asked what inspired them to donate the bins to the Wenchi Traditional Council,he explained that at Barcelona Spain they don’t liter, there are laws that banned littering the environment so they were excited to hear that the Omanhene of Wenchi Traditional Area Osagyefo Ampem Anyye Amoampong Tabrako III has instituted the clean Wenchi campaign to promote environmental cleanliness in Wenchi they decided to support his vision to help make the environment clean.
Kwabena Daniel further make a passionate appealed to the Wenchi Traditional Council to enact sanitation laws to help promote environmental cleanliness.
He also appealed to the inhabitants to make good use of the bins to help serves it intended purpose to motivate the Wenchi kroye Kuo members based in Barcelona Spain to do more.
Osagyefo Ampem Anyye Amoampong Tabrako III, the Omanhene of Wenchi Traditional Area expressed gratitude to the group for the foresight and said the bins would help sustain the clean Wenchi campaign against insanitary conditions in the area.
