GPRTU Slates 11th May for Regional Elections

The Greater Accra Ghana Private Road Transport Union, has slated 11th May, as their regional election to elect their new executive into office.
Speaking with the Communications Director of the GPRTU, Alhaji Abass Imoro, he said all is set to conduct the regional election in May this year.
According to him, per the constitutional requirement, every four years there should be fresh elections to elect new executives into office, and failure to do so is a breach of the GPRTU constitution for that matter, the said officer would be set aside without fear, or favor.
He said the Electoral Commission of Ghana will conduct the election so no officer can manipulate the electoral process.
The election is going to be free and fair, during and after the election without rigging, he said.
He was optimistic that looking at the competency of the aspirants he did not doubt in mind that the election will be violence-free.
The GPRTU wishes to officially extend its warm gratitude to all aspirants and urged them that whoever emerged winner must be respected.
