A tow truck belonging to the Ghana Police Service has been caught carrying illegal mining equipment into the bush.
The truck was forced off-road after locals decided not to allow it to pass. A video of the incident was sharing like wild fire as a little after midnight on Saturday morning.
Ghana is currently reeling under a water crisis brought on by large scale illegal mining by unruly young men and women, and an invasion of foreigners.
The Ghana Police Service is currently prosecuting several people for allegedly engaging in violence whilst demonstrating against the illegal mining.
Many have often suggested that there is official and security contribution to the invasion, and the emergence of a police branded truck with illegal mining equipment will only increase the suspicion.
