First Atwima-Mponua Nursing Training school to start operations soon

Tanodumase (Ash), July 21, GNA – Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the first ever nursing training school for the Atwima-Mponua District in the Ashanti region will start operations this academic year. 

       The school, which is being constructed by the District assembly, the Middle Belt Development Authority and Nana Agyare Boateng, Chief of Tanodumasi is the first tertiary educational institution in the area. 

     As part of efforts to ensure that the school starts enrolment from the 2022/2023 academic year, a team from the Ministry of Health and the District Assembly visited the site to inspect the progress of work. 

      The team, led by Mrs Rebecca Akorli from the Ministry of Health, inspected the 18-unit classroom block, a hostel facility for the students as well as the eight-bedroom staff accommodation which has all been completed. 

     Mrs Akorli who was impressed by the work done so far called for the early completion of the library, the information, communication and technology and skills centre as well as the provision of furniture to enable the school to start enrollment this year as planned. 

      Mr Isaac Kofi Marfo the District Chief Executive charged the contractor to expedite work on the project to help meet the completion target. 

       Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah Member of Parliament for the area, was happy about the progress of work and the realization of the school in the area which had been one of the major concerns of the people.
