That’s it then, is it? The old 2021/22 Premier League season on the scrapheap?
While we have to wait another long summer until the next domestic season, Sunday saw the English top flight sign off in style with goals and drama galore.
Manchester City eventually wrestled past Aston Villa to secure a fourth Premier League title in five seasons, consigning Liverpool to second place. Tottenham bagged fourth thanks to their thumping of Norwich, while Leeds pulled off a miraculous escape to ensure Burnley were relegated to the Championship.
So, for one final time, let’s go over every team’s best player from the last gameweek of the season.
