The source has revealed that analysis of registration patterns in the Volta and Oti regions after the last voter registration exercise as well as the District Assembly elections suggest that the number of voters in the two regions may have as much as doubled, and in some cases, quadrupled.

“We can imagine where most of these votes would go,” the source stated.

The source stated that analysis of voter numbers suggest that there was a very high turnout for registration in the Oti and Volta region.

“In some districts, we recorded as high as four times the number of expected outturn. This is interesting, because, compared to places like the Ashanti region, where turnout was not as high, and in some cases, materials for the process were not as forthcoming,” the source stated.

In the regional breakdown of the registered voters by the Electoral Commission for the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections on the 7th December 2020, Volta Region had 924, 116 registered voters and Oti Region had 358, 552 voters on the register.

Ashanti had 3,019,178 voters.

According to the source who remained close-lipped about actual figures, the latest combined figures from Oti and Volta brings the numbers closer to the Ashanti figure.

“If our analysis is correct, then NDC is cruising towards victory with ten months to the election,” the source stated.
