The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the expected upward review of electricity tariff which takes effect 1st February 2023.
As already announced by the PURC on 16th January 2023. The Electricity Company of Ghana detailed the application and billing of the tariff.
“ECG has cataloged all unit consumption and the expected cost in a “Reckoner” which clearly explains how the tariff is applied and billed. Please note that individual customers’ tariff percentage increases will depend on customer classification and consumption category. The Reckoner will be displayed at all our districts and customer service centers nationwide to guide customers on their electricity purchases”.
ECG vividly assured customers and stakeholders of its commitment to ensuring a smooth implementation of the new tariff.
“Meanwhile, ECG has established customer help desks in all our districts and customer service centres to assist explain and reconcile any challenge.We take this opportunity to advice customers to conserve energy and spend less on electricity”, ECG concluded.
