DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF GHANA HEALTH SERVICE ASSESSES ONGOING COVID-19 VACCINATION

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye went on a media vaccination monitoring tour in the Ga East Municipality to evaluate the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination and address related health concerns. This tour was inspired by the Child Health Promotion Week, which was launched a few weeks ago.
During the tour, Dr. Kuma-Aboagye interacted with healthcare workers, nursing mothers, and members of the communities visited. He lauded the efforts of the health staff and encouraged people to get vaccinated while assuring them of the vaccines’ safety. He also emphasized the importance of nursing mothers paying attention to details in their Maternal and Child Health Record Books to improve their children’s health.
Ā The Director-General was accompanied by the Director of Public Health Division, Director of Family Health Division, Program Manager of the Expanded Program on Immunization, the Greater Accra Regional Health Director, a WHO Surveillance Officer, and the Ga East District Director.
The team visited various places, including the Abokobi Health Centre, Agbogba Pentecost Church Outreach Site, and the Taifa Burkina Community Vaccination Centre.
