A capacity-building workshop focused on gender equality, women’s rights, and empowerment was  held for staff involved in the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project 2 (GPSNP 2). The event aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of gender biases, stereotypes, and discrimination, and how these challenges hinder efforts toward achieving gender equality.
The workshop alsofeatured in-depth sessions on sexual and gender-based violence, its root causes, and strategies to prevent and address such issues within the GPSNP 2 framework.
Participants were also equipped with practical skills to mainstream gender considerations across project activities, ensuring a more inclusive approach.
The initiative emphasized the need for a safe and supportive environment for all, particularly women and vulnerable groups, in the project’s operations. By enhancing the capacity of staff and stakeholders, the workshop is expected to foster a more gender-sensitive approach in the implementation of GPSNP 2 activities.
This training is part of broader efforts to promote gender equality and empower women within the framework of GPSNP 2, reinforcing the project’s commitment to addressing gender disparities and advancing social equity.
