The event, the 9th year of Sexual Abomination Among the Nations, themed “Continuous Divinity of Human Sexuality and Family”

Nana Opare Odei ll, the Chief of Okobeyeyie, and Apadwa Hene of Akuapem Ahwrase, also opposed the homoseuality urging the president and lawmakers to sign the anti-LBGTQ+ Bill.
He further stated that Traditional Leaders will not condone any form of LGBTQ+ activity, citing cultural and religious values. He appealed to the president and parliamentarians to sign the bill, ensuring that Ghana’s traditional values are upheld.
On his part, Chief Alhaji Sulemana Issah, Okwaikwei North Moshie Chief made a passionate plea to the government to sign the anti-LGBTQ+ bill that has been passed by Parliament. He emphasized the importance of signing the bill, citing religious texts, and referencing the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible.
He described the effort to get the bill signed as a “jihad” or struggle and warned that if the government fails to sign the bill, he will encourage Ghanaians to vote against the ruling party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
