The initiative aims to empower the youngsters with self-sufficiency so they could transform their lives and have an impact on the communities where they live.

The participants received training in the manufacturing of pastries, shampoo, ice cream, detergents, antiseptics, and cosmetic items.

Additionally, they were given startup manuals on the training to aid them in pursuing their career goals.

The MP received praise for his good intentions and dedication to equipping the youth in his constituency with the necessary skills for employment and earnings by Mrs. Regina Opoku Gyasi, the New Patriotic Party women’s organizer for the Akyem Swedru constituency who oversaw the project.

She believes it will give the youth an opportunity to succeed in the future and won’t put a strain on their families.

Mrs. Regina Opoku explained that skilled workers are more independent and can easily establish themselves, which certainly helps reduce the large number of unemployed people in every constituency; hence, the youth must consider entering such a field of work.

Some recipients also voiced their enthusiasm for the concept and applauded their MP.

They shared their experiences from the skill-development training as well as their plans for using the knowledge they had learned.

Furthermore, they urged their MP to frequently host such program for young in order to get them busy and enable them to refrain from misbehavior in the constituency.

They figured that the skills acquired would go a long way toward helping them stay relevant.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with Daily Searchlight/MyGhanaMedia.com on the initiative, the MP reaffirmed his commitment to providing the youth with vital skills for employment.

He continued by saying he would continue to meet people’s demands.

He exhorted those who participated to put their newfound abilities to use by starting their own enterprises, which would benefit both their families and society at large.
