Wa Co-operative Credit Union (WACCU), a leading community-based credit union in the Upper West Region,  made a need-based donation of a motor tricycle to the Wa Central Prison. The donation was to support the revived Baayiri farm and address the transportation challenges faced by the command.
The donation was made in response to a request from the command, facilitated by the Second-in-command Supt. Oliver A. Ayamga and Supt. Moses Kpongor, in charge of Transport/Industries.
Presenting the tricycle, WACCU Board Chair, Mr. John Kofi Seidu emphasized that the donation is part of their social corporate responsibility to society, particularly the needy. On his part , WACCU’s Supervising Manager, Mr. Abraham Dakura added that this is not the first time WACCU has offered support to the Command and that this particular donation will further strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two institutions.
The Regional Commander/OIC  ADP. James Mwinyelle (ING) received the donation, describing it as “long sought after” and a sigh of relief. He stated that the tricycle will significantly assist farming activities on the Baayiri farm.
