One die in Nkonsia riot, 5 motorbikes burnt

One person has been killed and five motorbikes burnt in a riot between some Wenchi Zongo youth and Some Nkonsia youth in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region.
Narrating to our correspondence Nana Anfreh Damanata, the Senior Enroll Nurse at the Emergency and Accident Unit at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Anthony said three victims were brought to the facility at about 5:30 am in the morning but unfortunately one Alhassan Mohammed aged 21, passed away. One person was treated and discharged while Ayuuba Adamu is still on admission responding to treatment.
Ayuuba Adamu age 22 narrated that there was a jam  at Nkonsia dubbed ‘Agado night’, so they all went.
“I was there and decided to urinate, while urinating a certain boy took my phone from my hand, and I saw the boy who took my phone so I shouted this is the boy who has taken my phone so I chase him and he runs into a certain house not knowing that was his house upon reaching the house he shouted come for my rescue someone wants to kill me, so those who came for his rescue boarder not to listen to my side of the story and they started beating me with sticks.
“They beat me till I became weak so I run to the road side to join my people so when I narrated what happened to them they said how?, They collected your phone and beat you we won’t understand so they also follow up.
“They stabbed my brother Alhassan when we were following them, one senior man trying to save him and they stabbed him too on his armpit,” Ayuuba Adamu said.
He further explained that they sent Alhassan Mohammed now deceased to Koase hospital and they referred him to Wenchi Methodist Hospital and he passed away.
When asked how many were they Ayuuba Adamu said they were many but further explained that he went there alone and his colleagues join him later.
According to him his colleagues came to the Nkonsia community with their motorbikes so when we were running for ourselves they burnt all the five motorbikes.
“So when we were at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital I experienced that I was weak and could not do anything again so I asked one guy to help me inside, this morning I can see that I am fit,” he explained.
When asked again if he could Identify those who burnt the motorbikes he answered no but can only identify the boy who took his phone, Ayuuba Adamu reiterated.
He said the case have been reported to the Wenchi police.
“I led the police to the scene where the incident happened and they took my statement,” he said.
Ayuuba Adamu therefore called on the police to arrest the perpetrators to bring justice.
Police have not commented on the case as at the time of filing the report.
