The Electoral Commission has announced that the registration for special voting will be opened from the 17th of June, to 1st of July, 2024 ahead of the voting slated for the 2nd of December, 2024.

According to the EC, the voting will take place on the 2nd of December, 2024 and will include security agencies such as the military, police, immigration, customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Fire, National Media Commission, Ambulance Service, as well as staffs of the EC and the media.

She said the registration exercise will be carried in all the 275 constituencies across the country in a transparent manner saying the EC is a listening body and not static in its operations.

The EC Boss explained that the encounter with the editors demonstrates the openness of the Commission in the electoral space in the country, adding that, they operate with truth, trust and confidence in electioneering.

She therefore advised the relevant bodies to abide by the rules and regulations governing the special voting and urged all to visit the website of the Commission to verify their details and ensure that it is well captured to allow for a smooth voting.
