The oxygen concentrators will help save the lives of patients attached to them.

It will also help service delivery, particularly in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the various health facilities within the district.

Presentation

Presenting the oxygen concentrators to the healthcare personnel in charge of the various health facilities, the legislator, Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, said that he had realized the scarcity of oxygen concentrators within such health facilities and had, therefore, decided to provide them to help save lives.

According to him, some of the clinic’s bottlenecks would be relieved by the aid because patients who need high-flow oxygen can utilize the oxygen concentrators.

He was hopeful that the supplies would provide the constituency’s healthcare facilities with the justification they needed to deliver high-quality care.

In his opinion, the donation will significantly enhance his and the government’s endeavors to enhance the health sector within the district.

Appropriate time

At Akyem Swedru Catholic Clinic, the facility in charge, Rev. Sister Cecilla Appiah, who received the items on behalf of the clinic, was grateful to the Akyem Swedru lawmaker for the gesture.

She said the oxygen concentrators had come at the appropriate time since what the clinic had was not enough to take care of the patients who needed oxygen.

She asked the MP to continue providing more such health equipment to the health facilities in the area.

Other healthcare personnel in charge of the various health facilities could not hide their excitement, assuring the MP that the oxygen concentrators would be well-maintained.
