Hohoe (V/R), Feb. 3, GNA- Mr Wisdom Gakpo, National President, Certified Electrical Wiring Professional Association Ghana (CEWPAG), has called on the public to engage services of certified electricians to prevent fire outbreaks.

He said certified electricians had the required skills and working tools to produce quality work.

Mr Gakpo, speaking during the inauguration of the Hohoe Chapter of the Association and certification of 35 members in Hohoe, urged the members to perform the services required with integrity to enhance their personal, community and national growth.

He called on the Assembly and communities to engage certified electricians to work on facilities such as markets to enable them to work professionally to prevent issues of fire outbreaks.

Mr Gakpo called on the qualified and certified members to train others to enable them to pass when it got to their turn.

Mr Daniel Noble Awume, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said it was refreshing to see the young and energetic class brace themselves up with skills and technical expertise that would develop the human resource of the nation.

He said the expertise would also go a long way to make the beneficiaries self-sufficient and successful entrepreneurs in the Municipality.

Mr Awume said the skilled knowledge would also help residents in the Municipality to leverage and thrive to curb the outbreak of fires in homes, offices, industries and markets.

He called on young men and women to emulate the beneficiaries by acquiring skills that would strategically position them for future opportunities within government establishment and policies.

Mr Awume said plans would be advanced to see how every community in the Municipality would have some interested young men and women get the needed support to acquire skills.

He said the beneficiaries must be committed and willing to work for people and the Assembly.
