The move to conduct a nationwide monitoring exercise by officials of the Ministry in conjunction with the Ghana Police Service, is critical to ensure compliance to the Laws which constitutes the legal basis of the services rendered by the Ministry.

The monitoring exercise would facilitate the streamlining of operations of players within the sector and allow the Ministry gather comprehensive data to aid informed decision making. Also, it will provide an avenue for the Ministry to interface with new and existing clientele and the general public.

In addition, the Ministry would be expanding its publication of Service Providers in Good Standing on its website to include the National dailies and its Social Media handles. This would go a long way to sanitize the operations of the service providers and improve the security consciousness of the general public.

As a Ministry mandated to ensure internal security in the country, we remain committed to guaranteeing that there is law and order, peace and security to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and boost the economy of Ghana.

A release in Accra stated that accordingly, all players within the sector are advised to register or renew their licenses to regularize their operations with the Ministry to avoid sanctions.
