Chelsea enjoyed some welcome respite from their woeful Premier League form by seeing off Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are seeking a first domestic trophy since 2018 but will have their work to cut out to reach the semi-finals, even at home.

West Ham United’s reward for dumping Premier League title challengers Arsenal out of the competition is a last eight meeting with Liverpool at Anfield. Meanwhile, Everton host Fulham.

League One’s Port Vale, the lowest ranked team left in the competition after beating Mansfield Town of League Two on Tuesday, have been presented with Middlesbrough as a reward for getting this far. It guarantees that one non-Premier League club will be in the semi-finals.

The four quarter-final fixtures will be played in the last few days before Christmas, in the week commencing Monday 18 December.
