VRA ENDS CONTROLLED SPILLAGE FROM AKOSOMBO DAM 

The Volta River Authority (VRA) has announced to the general public particularly residents living along the Lower Volta River and its environs that the controlled spillage from the Akosombo dam, which began on September 15, 2023, has ended. 

The end of the controlled spillage notwithstanding, VRA stated that it is committed to continuing its relief and rehabilitation efforts until lives and livelihoods are restored. 

This was contained in a press release issued by the Corporate Affairs and External Relations Unit dated October 30, 2023, Accra.

VRA acknowledged the various Government agencies and stakeholders for their support to the impacted communities.
