The Director-General of GES, Dr Eric Nkansah joined colleague Heads of Public Institutions to celebrate this year’s United Nations/African Union Public Service Day on Friday 23rd June 2023.
This year’s National-Level celebration was observed under the theme: “Building an African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Ready Public Sector.”
In his speech, Dr Nkansah emphasized the commitment of GES to ensuring that the education sector plays a central role in equipping citizens with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to thrive in the AfCFTA era.
In addition, the Director-General called on all Public Servants to embrace the spirit of the United Nations/African Union Public Service Day and reaffirm their commitment to building an AfCFTA-ready public sector.
Public Services Commission (PSC) and all Public Servants were congratulated for their sterling performance in nation building.
