A run of just one win from their last six games has seen Spurs fall out of Champions League qualification contention, with Ryan Mason’s side now only capable of finishing sixth at best.

The Bees will now start a spell of eight months without star forward Ivan Toney, who has been banned for betting offences, but managed fine without the England international last time out as they beat West Ham 2-0.

Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming fixture.

Hugo Lloris, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon won’t play again this season, while Eric Dier and the relatively unused Japhet Tanganga need to be assessed.

Yves Bissouma returned from injury against Villa and may replace Oliver Skipp in central midfield, while Richarlison could be punished for his poor display by dropping out for Dejan Kulusevski.

Tottenham predicted lineup (3-4-3): Forster; Emerson, Romero, Lenglet; Porro, Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Davies; Son, Kane, Kulusevski.

Toney’s suspension means Bees boss Thomas Frank must do without his star striker, who has scored 20 of their 54 league goals this season.

There are no fresh injury worries, although Keane Lewis-Potter, Pontus Jansson, Christian Norgaard and Thomas Strakosha all continue to be ruled out.

Brentford predicted lineup (4-3-3): Raya; Hickey, Pinnock, Mee, Henry; Damsgaard, Janelt, Jensen; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade.

Both sides have endured disappointing ends to the season, with Spurs looking more likely to drop further down the table and claim the maligned Europa Conference League spot for next season.

However, while they got through their win against West Ham without Toney, a trip to Tottenham is far tougher for Brentford without their key forward up front.

The two sides drew 2-2 in an entertaining Boxing Day clash earlier in the season but the home side may sneak another goal to claim the win.

Prediction: Tottenham 3-2 Brentford
