The National Deputy Director of Protocol of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)  Mr. Kwabena Ofori Frimpong, has called on Muslims to uphold the peaceful coexistence that has existed between them and other religious groups.
Mr. Ofori Frimpong said this will help to promote peace and maintain law and order in the region.
He also urged the Muslim youth to eschew all acts of indiscipline, fighting amongst each other, and drug abuse, among others since it will not help the development.
He further encouraged the Muslim youth to use the Ramadan period to bury their differences, love each other and live in harmony.
Mr. Ofori Frimpong gave this advice to the media for the Eid Ul-Fitr celebration on 22nd April 2023.
He further admonished Muslims and Christian leaders to come out with a program to educate the youth and also to participate in and support the nation’s building.
Furthermore, he praised Muslims for their 30 days of fasting and prayers of peace for our nation and the entire world.
“Muslims and Christians have something in common which makes us one people”.
He, therefore, urged the leaders of Muslims to continue preaching peace to their youth and reminding them of the previous eid-ul-fitr celebrations which causes some of their youth to die, that Muslim youth should apply break during the celebration, the careless use of motorbikes and overspeeding to save their lives as they are the future leaders of our nation Ghana
