*LAWYER OSEI-ASIBEY SUPPORTS 250 NEWLY ADMITTED SHS STUDENTS.*

A lecturer of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and also a Private Legal Practitioner, Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey has donated 250 items to two hundred and fifty newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students.
The two hundred and fifty Senior High School new SHS entrants are from the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region. They received the support package worth GHS 85,000 from the proud New Patriotic Party (NPP) member for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey.
The 250 beneficiaries include 147 girls and 103 boys. Each received a mattress, chop-box, and pillows from the proud member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency.
Speaking with the media during the donation, Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey said it was in fulfillment of promises he made to them during their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and also his agenda to transform the area through education.
“As part of my efforts to reduce the financial burden on the parents, I mainly gave them items to motivate and encourage them to commence this phase of their educational journey with hope,” he added.
Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey noted that education was the key and indispensable to the development of the Atwima Nwabiagya North area hence he would do everything possible to support teaching and learning, especially for the needy.
Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey commended the students for their distinguished and outstanding performances in the just-ended 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He explained that the beneficiaries were over 40% of the entire Atwima Nwabiagya North District.
“These are among pupils who have performed creditably and have gained admission to further their education across the country.
“I congratulate them for their distinguished performance in their examination and encourage them to do even better in their Senior High, Vocational, and Technical Schools,”  he said.
Lawyer Dickson also pledged to follow up on the students regularly in their schools to monitor their performances and support them in diverse ways until they finish their second cycle of education.
Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey advised the students that “as you begin your new level of life be ambassadors for positive behavioral change wherever you find yourself by raising high the image of the Atwima Nwabiagya North.”
“To my girls, I want to advise you to stick to your books and avoid bad company, and early sex because it usually ends up in teenage pregnancy and school dropout.
“Go for the gold and achieve your goals to complement the investment made in your education. Your parents, government, and the entire society look up to you to take the mantle of future leadership,” she cautioned.
Other members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who graced the occasion were the District Chief Executive (DCE), Atwima Nwabiagya North Presiding Member (PM), District Education Director, NPP Electoral Area Coordinators,  Assembly Members, Committee Members, Religious Leaders, Headmaster, Teachers, and all the entire Atwima Nwabiagya North opinion leaders commended Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey huge investment in the youth of Atwima Nwabiagya North and encouraged the beneficiary SHS newly students to maximize the support to better their future.
Madam Fati Abubakar stand on behalf of the students expressed their awesome gratitude to Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey for the kind gesture and promised to be deserving of the opportunity given to them.
