Eco-Conscious Citizens Wears Its Environmental Remit On A Billboard
Visitors to the Eco-Conscious Citizens’ Garden Meeting at the environmental group’s premises in La, Accra will not need any literature to find out what the group stands for, as they will find the list of its advocacy areas listed on a billboard near the entrance to its premises.
After this Thursday’s Eco-Conscious Citizens Monthly Zoom Meeting, the first physical meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place on Saturday, July 30, 3-5 pm at Asanteson House, 47 Kwakwranya Street, near Liberty School in La.
It’s an open invitation to supporters, environmentalists, and local eco-friendly producers and artisans to network, socialize, update themselves, and see some samples of products.
Eco-Conscious Citizens has been at the forefront of campaigning against noise pollution and the campaign to save the Parks And Gardens HQ in Accra from having a multi-story office complex built on its land. It’s also part of the A Rocha Ghana-led class action to stop the Ghanaian government from mining bauxite at the Atewa Forest Reserve.
It supports other campaigns and will outdoor its #NoToSingleUsePlasticBags reusable bags at the garden meeting.
