Ahafo Ano South-East elects new CLOGSAG executives

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) in Ahafo Ano South-East District Assembly (AASEDA) in the Ashanti Region has elected new executive members to cater to the welfare of its members.

At the end of the elections, Mr Charles Akwasi Aboagye,  Assistant Director One was elected as CLOGSAG Chairman after he stunned his only contender in chairmanship race with 39 votes.

His only contender, Mr Solomon Kenney Agyekum managed with only 11 votes.

Other executives who were elected includes; the District Information Officer, Mr Thomas Awuah Asem,who won the Secretary post with 41votes whiles his opponent, Stephen Laar, a Human Resource staff got nine votes.

Madam Elna Marful, who had no contest, was also confirmed as the organizer in an elections which was supervised by the Ashanti Regional CLOGSAG officials led by Daniel Brobbey, the Regional Secretary.

Mr. Kaleem Abdallah Adam of AASEDA in his succinct remarks, tasked the newly-elected executives to work extra hard to improve upon the image of CLOGSAG in the District.

“You need to work hard to make us proud.

The Association is bedeviled with serious challenges that need dedicated executives like your kind to find a lasting solution to them”, he stressed.

The executives after the swearing-in ceremony took turns to thank the staff for reposing their trust in them and pledged to live up to expectations.
