Indian Super League (ISL) side, Mumbai City FC have reportedly completed the signing of midfielder, Alberto Noguera from FC Goa with IFTWC claiming that the Spaniard will play for the Islanders next season.
It was reported that Noguera’s services was in high demand as other than Mumbai City, the likes of fellow ISL clubs, East Bengal and Odisha FC too were understood to be extremely keen to sign the versatile midfielder.
The Islanders have been busy in the transfer market so far as they have already completed the signing of Australian striker David Williams from ATK Mohun Bagan and Scottish midfielder Greg Stewart from Jamshedpur FC – with both the players signing a pre-contract agreement with the club.
The club had renewed the contracts of defender, Mourtada fall and midfielder, Ahmed Jahouh last season and Noguera’s signing means that he will become the fifth foreign player to sign for them ahead of the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old who has played for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Blackpool in the past, moved to India when he signed for FC Goa in 2020 on a two-year deal. The midfielder played a key role in their 2021 Durand Cup win, making a total of 45 appearances for the club in all competitions – scoring five goals and also registering 10 assists.
